Mojave Desert 2002This year the annual trek from Texas to the high desert of California was made by Patman Hall, Rob Cook, Pat Burroughs, and Cindy Gross. We participated in the AMA District 37 Jackrabbit's Hare and Hound on January 13, 2002. During practice and the race we tackled hills, whoops, bushes (sometimes literally), high speed rough sections, and much more. The gravelly sand was anywhere from a few millimeters deep to several inches deep in the sand washes. All in all it was great fun! Race Results Cindy W36: 8th out of 11 in the Women's Novice class. In the overall first loop standings there were 17 people who came in after me plus 3 who didn't finish. Pat B. 110c: 1st in the 0-200 Novice class, 5th overall novice, 134 overall. Pat H. O143: 6th out of 36 in the Open Senior class, 210 overall. Rob O162x: 6th in the 0-250 Senior class, even after his spectacular 1st loop crash. 227 overall. Total number of racers: 490 on bikes, 5 on quads The people
